Our Mission
Sports 4 the Kids provides scholarships that help cover youth sports registration fees so children can participate in local sports programs.
Scholarships are available for children ages 5 to 18 who participate in programs aligned with the Sports 4 the Kids mission.
How the Scholarship Program Works
Sports 4 the Kids partners with local leagues and program providers across Central Florida to support families who need assistance covering the costs of youth sports participation.
If the sports program your child wants to join is not listed in the application, please share the Program Provider Form with the team or studio.
Scholarship funding is limited and awarded based on eligibility and available funds. While we do our best to support as many families as possible, applying does not guarantee funding.
Please allow up to two weeks for our Scholarship Committee to review your application. Once reviewed, a member of the Sports 4 the Kids team will email you with the status of your request.
Start Your ApplicationScholarship Requirements
To qualify for a Sports 4 the Kids scholarship, families must meet the following eligibility requirements.
- The child’s family must be considered a family in need by a public school system within Central Florida (including Seminole, Orange, Lake, and surrounding counties).
- The child must be registered with their school’s Free and Reduced Meal Benefits Program.
- The S4TK Scholarship Application must be completed by the program- or coach-provided deadline (typically 2 weeks prior to the league registration deadline).
- The athlete and program provider must participate in the Goals 4 the Kids Program, which focuses on goal setting, healthy habits, and personal development. Families must submit the S4TK Spotlight Form so the athlete may be featured on the Sports 4 the Kids Spotlight page to show our appreciation to our sponsors.

Special Scholarships
Nina Karlinsky Soccer Scholarship
The Nina Karlinsky Soccer Scholarship honors the life of an exceptional student-athlete whose passion for soccer began at an early age and carried through club, JV, and varsity competition. Nina set a high school record for goals scored in a single season and graduated as both valedictorian and a Scholar Athlete Award recipient in 2016. After her passing in 2018 following a courageous battle with leukemia, her legacy of determination, leadership, and love for the game inspired the creation of this scholarship to support young soccer players pursuing their passion.
Raymond Caraballo Football Scholarship
The Raymond Caraballo Football Scholarship honors the legacy of “Coach Ray,” a beloved Central Florida high school football coach who dedicated eight seasons to mentoring young athletes. Known for his passion for the sport and deep commitment to his players, Raymond coached at University High School, Masters Academy, and Seminole High School, where he helped shape athletes into leaders on and off the field. After his passing in 2018, this scholarship was created to continue his mission of supporting student-athletes who demonstrate dedication, teamwork, and leadership through football.
Sam Shaw Sports Scholarship
The Sam Shaw Sports Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Sammy “The Bull” Shaw, a talented young athlete from Stuart, Florida, who excelled in baseball, basketball, and especially lacrosse. Known for his natural talent, competitive spirit, and strong sportsmanship, Sam was admired by both teammates and coaches. Following his tragic passing at age 19, this scholarship was established to carry on his legacy by supporting student-athletes who share his passion for sports and teamwork.
Anna Kathryne Proctor Volleyball Scholarship
The Anna Kathryne Proctor Volleyball Scholarship celebrates the impact youth sports can have on a young athlete’s life. After receiving a Sports 4 the Kids scholarship in 2014, Anna went on to excel as a setter, team captain, and leader while playing varsity volleyball at Seminole Middle School and Winter Springs High School. Her experiences through volleyball led to opportunities to compete at elite levels and visit colleges for potential athletic careers. This scholarship now helps future volleyball athletes pursue the same opportunities that helped shape her journey.
Ambassador Scholarship
Up to four scholarships are awarded annually for junior or senior student-athletes pursuing collegiate athletics. These scholarships provide support for academic resources, such as SAT/ACT tutoring, test preparation, and other educational tools, to help students prepare for college athletics.
